My HP Pavilion 17-inch Laptop which comes with comes with the best performance 6th generation 2.6GHz Intel Core i7-6700HQ skylake processor and integrated graphics. It has 8GB RAM and 1TB storage. The operating system is Windows 10. When i Started it this Morning, error shows that Missing Operating System.
I really need your help on what to do, Its a new system and i have restored all files from my old Toshiba system which is sold out.
Answer from Simmy: I have easy solution for that problem. The reasons are, your system partition is not active, BIOS (computer input/output) not detect hard disk, Hard disk is corrupted etc. I received this error on my own Dell laptops and so I tried to fix the Missing Operating System error and finally I fixed it.
So follow simple steps to fix the operating System Not Found or Missing Operating System error on Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows XP.
How To Fix Missing Operating System Error

Insert the Windows Operating System Disc into the optical (CD or DVD) drive.

Press and hold the Power button for 5 Seconds to turn off the PC. Then press the Power button again to turn on the PC.

Press the Enter key when prompted to Boot from CD.

From the Windows Setup Menu, press the R key to start the Recovery Console.

At the C:\> prompt type FIXMBR then press the Enter key to continue.

Press the y key then press Enter when asked if you want to write a new MBR.

Once the MBR is successfully written, restart the PC by pressing the Power button.
The above solution of Missing Operating System error is working for me and it is working for many users too. The above solution is one of the easiest and working solution on the web. Hope it also work for you.
