Sony has launched a new mid-range smartphones, the Xperia R1. Sony Xperia R1 smartphone was launched in October 2017. The phone comes with a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels, The phones will be sold offline and will be available across all Sony Center and major mobile stores across the globe from the 10th of November.
The Sony Xperia R1 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Sony Xperia R1 They also feature a 13MP Exmor Sony sensor at the back with auto-focus and LED Flash, and an 8MP front camera with 76-degree wide angle.
The Sony Xperia R1 runs Android 7.0 out-of-the-box but the Oreo update is being promised for the devices and is powered by a 2620mAh non removable battery. It measures 146.00 x 73.20 x 8.89 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 154.00 grams.
The Sony Xperia R1 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.
The company has also confirmed that interested customers can register for the phones starting 27th of October on Amazon. Sony promises has promised that pre-registered customers will be entitled for a special offer.
The Xperia R1 will be priced at INR 13,990. It translate to $215 . You’ll be able to grab in them from both Amazon and Flipkart on November 10 in either Black or Silver.
