Motorola Moto G5S Plus is an upcoming smartphone by Motorola. The phone is rumoured to come with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels and an all-metallic chassis that will be available in three color options — grey, gold, and silver. The Motorola Moto G5S Plus continues the tradition of what the Moto G line has always been. It’s a good, inexpensive smartphone with a no frills approach. If that’s all you need, that is exactly what the Motorola Moto G5S Plus will provide.
Moto G5S Plus is said to be launched at the company’s event on July 25 in New York. It is expected to be the upgraded version of the Moto G5 Plus, which was announced earlier this year. Ahead of the release, a tipster has leaked a press shot of the Moto G5S Plus with a dual camera setup, alongside its specifications.
The Motorola Moto G5S Plus is expected to be powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor and come with 4GB of RAM. The phone is rumoured to pack 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Motorola Moto G5S Plus will be two 12.9-megapixel shooters with aperture of f1.7 for the primary camera, and f2.0 for the monochrome one. Meanwhile, the phone will feature an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f2.0 aperture and LED flash. If yes, this will be a big step from the Moto G5 Plus, which has a single 12-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter. The addition of dual cameras is certainly an interesting move, but it will undoubtedly raise the cost of the phone.
The Motorola Moto G5S Plus is rumoured to run Android 7.1.1 and be powered by a 3072mAh non removable battery. Actually, this is a pretty good result for a phone in this price bracket and means it will last most people a day before needing to be recharged. The splash-resistant Moto G5 Plus has a near stock version of Android Nougat, a good camera and video, and a metal build — and it’s extremely kind to your wallet.
The Motorola Moto G5S Plus tipped to be a dual SIM (GSM) . Connectivity options are said to include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Headphones, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone are rumoured to include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor. With a long list of features you want and only a few that you don’t, there is no better budget phone than Motorola’s Moto G5s Plus.
The standard Moto G5 Plus with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage retails for $299, and a variant of the G5S Plus with the same configuration could easily run up to $350, awfully close to the $400 price point of the Moto Z Play.
