  1. From your Roku’s main menu, navigate to Settings.

  2. Scroll down to System, and then select Screen mirroring from the right-hand column.

  4. Select Prompt. ” Other options include Always allow, which lets devices connect immediately, and Never allow, which blocks any devices from connecting.”
  5. Go to the Settings area of your Android or Windows device and tap Display.
  6. Scroll down and select Wireless Display.
  7. Select your Roku.
  8. You’ll now see your device’s content on your Roku-equipped TV.

    Traditional screen mirroring to a Roku isn’t supported on iOS devices, but there are a number of apps to download on your Mac or iOS device, such as Mirror for Roku, that allow screen mirroring functionality.

Screen Casting

  1. Make sure the streaming channel you want to cast is installed on your Roku.

  4. The app will display a message that it’s connecting to your Roku device, and then the app will automatically begin playing on your Roku-equipped TV.

Play on Roku can’t be used with apps such as Netflix, YouTube, or Kodi.

  1. Open the Roku mobile app.

  2. Select Devices from the bottom menu.

  3. Select your Roku device.

  4. Tap the Media icon to launch Play on Roku.

  5. Select MusicPhotos, or Videos.

  6. Tap Give Access to permit Roku to access your photos and videos. When prompted, tap OK to give access to your photo library.

  7. If you selected Photos, tap the album you want to display.

  8. Tap the Play button from the bottom. Your photos will display on your TV.

Play Content From a PC, Media Server, or USB DriveJailbreak a Roku Box

Use a smartphone and your Roku streaming device to play content stored on a PC or media server with the Roku Media Player channel, which is preinstalled on your Roku streaming device. This app is designed to play music, photos, and videos from PCs and media servers on the same home network.
