Huawei Honor V9 Play smartphone was launched in September 2017. The phone comes with a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels, a new mid-range smartphone in its Honor V series. The V9 Play has a nice design and packs features that are worth more than it is priced.Design-wise, the smartphone sports a metal unibody design and the Huawei Honor V9 Play is poweredby the MediaTek MT6750 SoC with 1.5 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T860MP2 GPU and it comes with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, On the camera front, the Honor V9 Play sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, 1.12-micron pixel size, 5P lens, aperture f/2.0 and LED flash, while for the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter with aperture f/2.2.
The Huawei Honor V9 Play runs Android 7.0 with EMUI 5.1 on top and is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery which company claims can offer 16 hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time. It measures 147.90 x 73.20 x 7.65 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 145.00 grams.
The volume and power keys are on the right edge of the V9 Play, and the front has no home button support. While there’s little to no bezel on the left and right side of the smartphone, there’s sufficient of it on the top and bottom chin, with the logo printed at the bottom of the screen. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor placed at the back that claims to unlock the phone 0.4 seconds, the Huawei Honor V9 Play is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. The V9 Play will start selling from September 12 and will be available in Red, Black, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold colour variants.
