The thing with Pixel phones is that they’ve never had the shine and sheen that its competitors have gone for. Even the colour variants Google comes out are simple yet they do convey what they’re all about. The same goes for Pixel 3’s design: it doesn’t scream elegance but it retains the ‘premium-ness’ of an expensive phone. Compared to the Pixel 2, a lot of people would feel that Google hasn’t done much to improve the design. It’s true to a great extent as the back retains the shiny glass at the top while the lower body has a matte finish. If it ain’t broke, why fix it, seems to be the mantra Google has adopted with the Pixel 3’s two-tone design.
However, the best part about the Pixel 3 is how easily you can use it with one hand. Just like the iPhone XS – which is slightly bigger – the Pixel 3 is a perfect phone for those who look for compact and sleek handsets. Don’t’ fret as Google hasn’t compromised with the real estate on the screen. The 5.5-inch display is still good enough even in a compact body.
The Google Pixel 3 is powered by 2.5GHz octa-core (4×2.5GHz + 4×1.6GHz) processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded.
As far as the camera, Google has taken its fantastic camera and ensured its performance has been updated to 2018. There is zero shutter lag no matter what the lighting condition when taking a photo. Even if I thought I took a blurry photo, going back to the gallery showed me that the focus was just right. Tap the shutter button and it’s like the phone can read your mind and click the perfect picture.
The Google Pixel 3 is powered by a 2915mAh non removable battery, You can easily run the device for a work day with little gaming and video content consumption among other daily activities of calling, messaging, social networking and more. It measures 145.60 x 68.20 x 7.90 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 148.00 grams.
The Google Pixel 3 is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, USB Type-C, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
