Samsung is the biggest smartphone vendor in the world, thanks in no small part to the huge success that the Galaxy S series enjoys. However, a new report claims that the Galaxy S7 is actually the most popular Samsung handset across the globe.
Those flagships generate the most sales, and that is expected to continue this year as the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ leave their mark in the consumer space and much of that is due to the popularity of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge which launched in the first half of 2016.
Advertising agency ScientiaMobile’s has released its Mobile Overview Report for the first quarter of this year. The report finds that the Samsung S7 generates the most mobile browsing activity than any other device. This title was previously held by the Galaxy S5 until it was eclipsed by the Galaxy S7 in March of 2017.
However, considering the fact that the Galaxy S8 was just launched, it’s far too early to tell if the latest device will overtake the likes of the Galaxy S7. It’s also unknown whether this data is based on just the Galaxy S7 or both the S7 and S7 Edge. Regardless, it’s impressive to see the S7 overtake a device that has been available for 3 years in the Galaxy S5.
