If you are thinking about getting a TV stick to stream your favourite shows and movies, now might be the time to jump in and shop, as Amazon releases the new Fire TV Stick 4K.
Amazon claims the Fire TV Stick is the most powerful 4K TV streaming stick on the market, and they are probably right, as this bad boy is packed to the rafters with great features.
The tiny USB stick will support Dolby Vision and HDR10+ to catapult your 4K content into the stratosphere, bringing out the richest of colours in vibrant detail.
Get access to more than 10,000 channels, apps, and Alexa skills, as well as over 200,000 movies and TV episodes with a simple plug-in to your TV.
You will have Prime Video, BBC, Netflix, ITV, Channel 4, Disney and a whole host of other apps and services at your fingertips.
If you are feeling fancy, you can simply say, “Alexa, watch Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” and you will be instantly taken to the show in all its 4K HDR glory.
And you can pre-order all this for an insanely reasonable £49.99. The only downside is that you have to wait to get your hands on them, as Amazon is shipping them out on November 14, though there are a number of retailers who will be selling the Fire TV Stick 4K.
If you just fancy the Amazon Alexa Voice Remote on its own, you can snag that as a standalone for £29.99 too.
For the technical geeks among you, the new Fire TV Stick 4K clocks in at more than 80% more powerful than the previous model, with heaps of new tech pushing it into the future.
The Fire TV Stick 4K features a new quad core, 1.7GHz processor, delivering a fast streaming experience, quicker load times, and brilliant picture quality.
Amazon has clearly listened to customer demand for better 4K streaming options, but getting all these features in a stick is quite remarkable.
Eric Saarnio, Head of Amazon Devices in Europe, said: “Our new quad-core processor delivers a fast and fluid experience, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ provides an amazing picture. Plus, the all-new Alexa Voice Remote lets you control your entertainment experience and use your voice to quickly find the content you want.
“Just say, ‘Find 4K movies’. The team also invented an entirely new antenna technology and combined that with a powerful 802.11ac Wi-Fi chip that optimises for a more seamless 4K UHD streaming experience.”
With deals in mind, Amazon has bundled together a couple of its products to help you save money too.
You can pre-order the Fire TV Stick 4K and the brand new Echo Dot for a combined £79.98, saving you £20 on both.
Or, if you want 4K streaming on multiple TVs in your home, pre-order two Fire TV Stick 4K devices for a combined £89.99, saving you £10.
