Online stock is available at select retailers – Where to Buy a PS5
The PlayStation 5 has finally launched, after years of rumor, speculation, and hype. It dropped on Thursday, November 12th, and for the thousands of frustrated Sony fans who missed out on the narrow pre-order windows or the opportunity to grab one at launch, there’s a glimmer of hope. A number of major retailers have announced that they’ll have consoles available online for Black Friday.
Due to the ongoing pandemic a number of retailers, including Walmart, won’t offer the console for in-store purchase, so the retailer pages linked below are your best shot for snagging one.
Walmart
Update: Walmart has confirmed they’ll have the PS5 in stock at 3 PM ET on Thursday, Novevember 19th. This is only online, no in-store restock.
Walmart has confirmed that they’ll restock the PS5 as part of their Deals for Days event, kicking off on November 25th ahead of Black Friday. Stock will again only be available online, not in physical stores.
Amazon
Amazon hasn’t announced any specific restock plans as of yet, but they were a strong source for both next-gen consoles on launch day, so it’s worth regularly checking in.
Best Buy
Best Buy has confirmed that they’ll have stock of the PS5 available during their Black Friday sale, starting on November 22nd.
GameStop
GameStop has also confirmed they’ll be getting a PS5 restock around Black Friday, both online and at their brick and mortar locations
B&H Photo
B&H has had stock periodically throughout the pre-order phase and may have more available as their Black Friday event rolls on.
Games and accessories
There are a ton of games and accessories already available for pre-order for the PlayStation 5 at each retailer as well, including the much-hyped Dual Sense controller and major launch titles like Demon’s Souls and Miles Morales.
