BlackBerry Evolve now official with 18:9 displays, face unlock, and wireless charging

BlackBerry Evolve smartphone was launched in August 2018. BlackBerry Evolve is the entry-level variant of the two models being launched. It features a 5.99-inch display with Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone features aluminum unibody design and has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.BlackBerry Evolve

The BlackBerry Evolve is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 system-on-chip (SoC), paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage – expandable using microSD card. The phone boots Android Oreo 8.1 operating system optimised by BlackBerry with security and productivity tools such as DTEK security suite and workplace.

As far as the cameras are concerned, BlackBerry has equipped the Evolve with combination of 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel dual rear camera and support for 2x optical zoom. The smartphone features a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and front flash.

The BlackBerry Evolve runs Android 8.1 Oreo and the phone is also powered by 4,000 mAh battery. It features a USB type-C charging and data transfer port that supports the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

Other sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope. So, does it have a fingerprint sensor? Yes,

Evolve are Amazon-exclusive and will be available from August end, The BlackBerry Evolve will be available with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and will retail  ($365)
