Alcatel 5 smartphone was launched in February 2018. The phone comes with a 5.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1440 pixels. This phone has a unique design which eliminates basically all of the bezels. Instead of a “notch” for sensors, it drops all of that into the “forehead.” It’s a bit of an odd look at first glance, but really grows on you in person.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Alcatel 5, it features dual-cameras. Firstly, there’s a primary 13MP sensor, and that’s paired with a 5MP sensor that can take wide-angle shots. There’s a single 12MP camera sensor on the back to round things out.
The Alcatel 5 runs Android 7 and is powered by a 3000mAh, which Alcatel says can last for 18 hours of 3G talk time. There’s a fingerprint sensor on the back, as well as a facial recognition feature as well. It measures 152.35 x 71.10 x 8.45 (height x width x thickness) .
The Alcatel 5 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.
Apart from the design, there are a lot of typical mid-range features here, like the fast-ish charging, 3GB RAM and 720p display. It’s not a list that will make any other manufacturer weak at the knees, but the design should stir some creative minds up to try something new. And with so many other phones out there sharing similar specs and features, it’s definitely one thing that will make it stand out. The Alcatel 5 is priced at 220 Euros (~$270) and will come in Metallic Gold and Metallic Black. Availability is said to be immediately in select countries
