Possibilities Design of The Nexus 7P design
News is circulating that Huawei and Google are working together to built a 7-inch Android tablet. For now, the device is being dubbed the Nexus 7P, but that will likely change since Google has decided to launch its upcoming HTC-build phone under the Pixel brand.
As for the Nexus 7P, rumored specs indicate that the tablet will have a 7-inch QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. If that wasn’t enough, the tablet is also fair to have a 13-megapixel camera around back. While Huawei doesn’t currently have a 7-inch tablet in its lineup, the company released the MediaPad M3 at IFA last week. The device is jam-packed with an incredible spec sheet which includes an 8.4-ionch QHD display, the company’s own Kirin 950 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a fingerprint sensor below the display and two 8-megapixel cameras mounted on the front and back of the device.
The tablet may be a bit larger than the rumored Nexus 7P, but Huawei and Google may use it as the base platform for the Nexus or Pixel tablet. The Huawei MediaPad M3 is built with a unibody aluminum shell with an antenna cutout on the back, similar to the cutout found on the Nexus 6P. There’s no evidence to suggest that the Nexus 7P would sport the same design, but we do find it a bit intriguing.
Do you think the Huawei MediaPad M3 is a good starting point for the upcoming Nexus or Pixel tablet? If you could design Google’s next tablet from scratch, what design feature would you throw in?
