Gionee M2017 features a massive 7,000 mAh battery and comes in two designs – Metal and Leather


Gionee M2017 is a smartphone that comes with very high end specifications. Gionee M2017 smartphone was launched in December 2016. The phone comes with a 5.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels at a PPI of 518 pixels per inch. The Gionee M2017 is powered by 1.44GHz octa-core Qualcomm Xiolong processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. The screen is also protected by a Scratch Resistant display. The phone packs 128GB of internal storage cannot be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Gionee M2017 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear with Auto Focus, Face Detection, HDR, Geo-tagging, Touch Focus, Digital Zoom, Video Recording and a 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies with Front Facing Camera capable of shooting

The Gionee M2017 runs Android 6.0 running Amigo 3.5 UI on top and is powered by a 7000mAh non removable battery, and features Quick Charge 3.0. It measures 155.20 x 77.60 x 10.78 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 238.00 grams.

The Gionee M2017 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts . The phone comes with a fingerprint scanner, but is missing a 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, 3G and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.

In the past, Gionee has made smartphones with large battery capacities, including the Marathon series; of which the Marathon M5 comes with a 6020 mAh battery. We reviewed the Marathon M5 and found that it was difficult to finish the charge of the phone even with a heavy day of use, but found it equally difficult to charge the big capacity phone considering how slowly it charged.
